Write for New Dawn
Before sending an unsolicited article, please check we haven’t already covered the same information in earlier issues of the magazine. See our back issues here. If in doubt, please contact us and tell us what you’d like to write about and why we should run your article. All articles should be emailed. Our preferred format is Word, with pictures separately attached as JPGs. Preferred article length is 3,000-3,500 words, including footnotes and references. For articles in our Mind Body Spirit section, the word length is 1,000-2,500. We only pay for articles that are commissioned to authors we’ve worked with in the past. Once we’ve published your work in New Dawn and happy with the final product, we’ll discuss payment for future articles. If you have a book you wish to publicise and its subject matter coincides with New Dawn’s areas of coverage, we invite you to contact us regarding articles. Authors retain copyright of their articles, unless we’ve paid for the article and in this case it’s a “shared” copyright.
