Through the faculty of creative imagination, many great artists, musicians, writers, inventors and poets became great because they cultivated and developed the habit of listening to their inner guidance that speaks from within. They learned to trust guidance and endeavoured to keep in touch with its stream, which could come and go based on who really knows.
The ultimate source of this stream is quite mysterious. Its quality is, of course, the logical outcome of tremendous hard work – study, concentration, practice, accumulation of knowledge and experiences, contemplation, experimentation, etc. The creative faculty of Mind synthesises new expressions that take the form of music, art, superior ideas, inventions – across the multitude of fields of human endeavour. On occasion, the spirit moves and inner guidance delivers brilliant original and useful breakthroughs into the world of humanity.
A large body of work exists on afterlife communications, channelling and even messages from aliens. We also have long-maintained traditions around the world of seeking advice from ancestral spirits. The former category of communications is usually unexpected, unpredictable and delivered to the individual, often out of context. The latter form of seeking advice is a more controlled exercise conducted by experienced shamans using tested rituals.
To the outrage of sceptics and diehard materialists, there are numerous recorded instances of people dialoguing with the spirits of the deceased, especially famous people. Author Frank DeMarco has actively engaged in an ongoing series of conversations with various non-physical beings, including historical individuals and a group he calls “the guys upstairs.” DeMarco’s conversations with Ernest Hemingway led to the publication of his book Afterlife Conversations with Hemingway. An example from modern-day pop music is Lady Gaga. She has admitted in interviews that the source of some of the catchy tunes on her debut album ‘The Fame’, which shot her to worldwide fame, had mysteriously appeared in her mind. The same thing happened with her second studio album ‘Born this Way’, another major hit. In a 2011 interview, speaking about the song ‘Bloody Mary’ which she says was inspired by her fascination with Mary Magdalene, Gaga said, “I wrote it pretty quickly. I mean I wrote it in fifteen minutes! Actually all the songs on the album were written in fifteen minutes! It’s just the process of putting it all together takes much longer. We now refer to the mysterious title of this article… who said that? The self-made American singer-songwriter and poet Lana Del Rey (birth name Elizabeth Grant) broke into stardom with her debut 2012 album ‘Born to Die’. As of 2020, Del Rey had sold 19.1 million albums, over 13 million singles worldwide, and received numerous accolades. Did she do it all by herself or get some help from “the guys upstairs?”
Del Rey let some of us into a secret, in a rare and little-known admission she made at the premiere of her short film Tropico in 2013, with its underlying surreal spiritual messages. This was the message on the flyer handed out to guests:

We’re living through one of the most tumultuous and significant periods in history’s astrological playbook. A massive cosmic timepiece turned the hands of destiny into a new position, and all hell broke loose for the players in the game of life on Earth who’ve no idea what is really going on.
Over very large spans of time in our long and often brutal history, there is nothing much to report on the astrological front. Boring planetary configurations that only have meaning for specific events in the life and times of an individual or society. Then suddenly, at certain cosmic power points, things come to a head when the signs in the sky indicate huge changes, and we see it all play out on the ground here in the affairs of humanity.
There is no doubt that all our forebears – who helped guide societies over thousands of years before this current age – would be paying close attention, wholly preoccupied with the sky and studying these major astrological transits and conjunctions.
The seers of all ancient civilisations, the medieval astrologers in Western Europe and all the East, as well as theologians and advisors to royalty down through the ages – not to forget those men who helped birth the modern scientific framework like Tycho Brahe, Johannes Kepler and Galileo – all would be fascinated by what we are seeing right now in the heavens, and what it means for the immediate future.
What is Happening?
Without getting into the technical aspects (you’ll have to study up on this yourself), the following is an overview of the significant astrological dynamics.
The rare series of Uranus/Pluto squares from June 2012 to March 2015 signalled what was to come. A square is a 90-degree aspect between two planets that indicates conflict. These seven exact squares happened between Uranus – the planet of radical change – and Pluto – the planet of transformation, power and subconscious forces.
On 12 January 2020, Saturn conjoined Pluto at 22° Capricorn for a single and dramatic pass. The two planets met in the same position in the same zodiac sign, signifying a very powerful merging of planetary energies. Although Saturn and Pluto conjoin every 31 to 37 years in different zodiac signs, it was over 500 years since they conjoined in Capricorn!
In astrology, Saturn is associated with restriction and limitation. Most astrologers concur that this Saturn/Pluto conjunction signified major impacts on power structures, more so because Capricorn ‘rules’ the domain of government (previous Saturn/Pluto conjunctions took place at recent turning points in world history, for example, in 1913-1916 and 1946-1948).
As it turned out, Covid-19 was officially identified by scientists right on the conjoin of Saturn/Pluto in January 2020. Uprisings and protests across the globe correlated with this dynamic. The push and pull of this conjunction reflected in the collapse of outdated structures but also helped solidify newly emerging bodies.
Historian and professor of philosophy and psychology Richard Tarnas describes these Saturn/Pluto periods as bringing an “irrevocable termination of an established order of existence” and “a widespread sense of victimisation and suffering under the impact of cataclysmic and oppressive forces of history.”
Pandemic Patterns
Next up in 2020 was Jupiter and Pluto conjoining in Capricorn on 5 April, 30 June and 12 November. There hadn’t been a Jupiter/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn since the year 1771.
Throughout history, many plagues and pandemics coincided with the conjunction of Jupiter – the planet of expansion and knowledge – and shadowy Pluto, which rules all things hidden and buried.
Three examples: In September 1771, the Russian plague (Jupiter/Pluto in Capricorn) hit its peak, killing an estimated 1,000 Moscow residents a day (20,000 confirmed dead that month alone).
In 1981, the HIV epidemic officially arrived, spawning the AIDS crisis. Jupiter and Pluto were meeting up in Libra, the sign of relationships, from October and November 1981.
In January and February 1918, Jupiter and Pluto were travelling together in Cancer. A terrible flu pandemic – known as the ‘Spanish flu’ – broke out during this time, infecting an estimated 500 million people – one-quarter of the world’s population – and resulting in 50 million deaths worldwide.
There is an interesting dynamic between the events of 1918 and 2020 in regard to scientific and technological developments in medicine.
Journalist and historian John M. Barry, in his book The Great Influenza: The Epic Story of the Deadliest Plague in History, notes that the history of the ‘Spanish flu’ is not just “chaos, death and desolation of society in a war against nature,” but also “a history of science, of discovery, of how one thinks and how to change the way one thinks, how, in the midst of almost absolute chaos, some men sought the coldness of contemplation, the absolute calm that precedes not philosophy but, rather, severe and determined action.” Barry says the ‘Spanish flu’ was “the first major clash between nature and modern science.”
Modern science’s way out of the Covid-19 crisis, building upon this foundation, has been to rely on experimental vaccines based on new technologies (largely ignoring natural immunity strategies). This invokes dystopian visions of life inside techno-bubble worlds cut off from nature.
Great Conjunction
On 21 December 2020, in an extra-special rare celestial event, Jupiter and Saturn appeared as one bright star when both planets conjoined or ‘kissed’. The Great Conjunction of 2020 was visible from across the world. To view it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The Great Conjunction significantly occurred at the beginning degree of Aquarius (on the Solstice point). The last time these two planets conjoined in Aquarius was back on 7 January 1405.
This powerful dynamic is considered a celestial omen and the preeminent method of demarcating historical eras in traditional astrology. Great Conjunctions were always closely observed by astrologers and linked to the rise and fall of royalty, leaders, and societies.
The fact this Great Conjunction inaugurates a new Air element Grand Mutation cycle, with all the related Aquarian symbolism, suggests we have stepped through one of the entry doors into this long-heralded new age.
2021 Onwards to the New Age
The incredibly volatile period stirred up in 2020 continued into 2021. The year started with a massive sequence of transits in January, including the major Saturn/Uranus Square running from 2020 to 2023.
On the horizon looms Pluto’s tour through Aquarius from 2024 to 2044. This dynamic is seen as formally marking our official entry into the Age of Aquarius.
Prophecy scholar and astrologer John Hogue sees Pluto’s 2024 entry into Aquarius marking the birth of “Generation One or Generation Zero.” It is they who will decide whether to look “backward into the past and give birth to human extinction,” or “open to the new and celebrate the unknown… in this oncoming time of the Great Purification [as foreseen by the Hopi].”
Different Perspectives on NOW
What does it all mean for now? It depends on your perspective and where you’re coming from (culture) and as an individual (mental programming, beliefs etc.).
At the end of 2020, Russian astrologer Tatiana Borsch predicted that 2021 would be a year of challenges for the US and most countries of the world.
“As this global financial crisis unfolds, expect a stronger China and a weakened US and Europe. America’s economic and political system might waste away, which could take place faster than we think,” said Tatiana.
This is contrasted by predictions made by various astrologers in Western countries like the United States and Australia. For many of them, the world is moving into an Aquarian Age that embraces Western liberal values and lifestyles. The tragedy is they build their outlook on Piscean era foundations of exceptionalism and superiority, conflating their belief in the modern myth of progress with an “evolution of consciousness.”
Truth is, says the talented UK-based writer and astrologer Jessica Davidson, in the coming years “we can be sure there’ll be no sudden shift into a liberal and progressive paradise of freedom and equality.”
When the signs in the sky match the events on the ground, all we do know is something big is at hand. Your best bet is to stand objectively above the prejudices and biases of your age and culture and drop the pretentious claptrap. All transitions involve pain and adjustments – and one would hope much reflection.
Brazilian Insights
At the time of the Great Conjunction in December 2020, the well-informed Brazilian journalist Pepe Escobar spoke to the respected Brazilian astrologer Vanessa Guazzelli. For over a decade, Escobar has been reporting on the emerging multipolar world and the rise of Russia and China, amidst the structural collapse of the old order.

Guazzelli told Escobar that the rising new age Aquarian-Leo dynamic indicates “it is not the time for a hegemonic single star to rule the world, but a time of many stars illuminating the entire sky. It is not a time for a single empire. There can be empires, if in plural…. It is time for a multipolar world – now that is the Mandate of Heaven.”
She also observes “the strong Aquarian edge activated in China’s astrological progressions when the Belt and Road Initiative was first proposed by Xi Jinping in Astana, in 2013, and how it connected to the degree of the Great Mutation (progressed Venus and Jupiter conjunct AC at 1º Aquarius).”
The Saturn/Neptune dynamic strongly connects with collective ideals in politics, religion and society. Saturn, material reality and structure, combines with Neptune, transcendence and idealism associated with collective dreams and inspiration. This astro-combo in conjunction, square or opposition is particularly pertinent to societies with strong sociocultural linguistic structure like China and Russia, as well as Asia in general.
Guazzelli notes a Saturn/Neptune opposition when “Vladimir Putin gave his historical speech in Munich, proposing the Eurasian Integration in February 2007.” A Saturn/Neptune square coincided with strong, synchronised speeches by Putin and Xi at the 70th UN Assembly in 2015, “affirming the multipolarity of the world.”
“The next Saturn/Neptune aspect will be the conjunction in February 2026,” declares Guazzelli, “inaugurating a brand new cycle… towards multipolarity.”
Jessica Davidson, in her article ‘The Saturn Pluto Conjunction: Start of the New World Order’, states: “We’re at the end of the era of Anglo-American dominance as the power centre shifts towards a multipolar world. It’s not clear exactly how this will play out but there are many who want to maintain the current system, unable to give up their position at the top of the global totem pole. This conjunction marks the start of a period of transition between systems so it could feel chaotic for some time.”
All this was outlined by farsighted long-time New Dawn contributor Mehmet Sabeheddin back in 2003 (in the wake of the Anglo-American war on Iraq):
The current turmoil and conflict unleashed on the planet by the United States and Britain is only the beginning of the climax of a struggle between cosmic influences of which most people are completely unaware. Today, America and Britain embody atrophied and degraded Piscean energies. The Anglo-Americans, as the standard-bearers of bankrupt Western materialism, are trying to reorganise the world, imposing their imbalanced, egoistic approach to life on all societies. Yet their latest brutal and insane actions, witnessed in the tragic invasion of Iraq, are part of a frantic effort to prolong their collapsing system. Despite all their apparent power and wealth, Anglo-American universalism is in a state of rapid decline leading to death.
A new era, a new consciousness, and a new people are on the horizon as the planet goes through a turbulent transitional period paving the way to the Aquarian Age.
In 2022, the United States will experience its Pluto return. This astrological phenomenon occurs when transiting Pluto returns to the same zodiac sign and degree as it holds within the natal chart – in this case, not an individual but a country – the USA, born on 4 July 1776. It’s a cycle of approximately 247 years. Pluto always has a sense of fate to it, especially in this critical time of major world changes.
“The return of the lord of the underworld also speaks of the return of that which was repressed, hidden or rejected. It will have three exact hits throughout 2022, and the final and definitive of the next Pluto cycle has the planet of death and regeneration facing Black Moon Lilith in Cancer, in opposition. Karma is a bitch and hits home,” warns Guazzelli.
However, “this doesn’t mean the American Empire will fall by 2022, but it is collapsing and will undergo dramatic transformations in the coming decade.”
From Pisces to Aquarius
We may not have overcome the cliches and New Age connotations associated with the line out of the 1967 musical ‘Hair’ – This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius – but the astrological truth of the situation is clear-cut for anyone with eyes to see.
On the level of cosmic time, we are tentatively stepping into the Age of Aquarius from the Age of Pisces. Astrology posits a cosmic imprint over the course of the Ages on human society – its religion, philosophy, myths, science, music, arts, etc. Over immense periods, subtle but distinct patterns manifest in the consciousness of humanity – a sort of unfolding of the collective spiritual state of humankind in a grand cycle known as the ‘Great Year’ that measures 25,920 years.
The Great Year divides into 12 months, each lasting approximately 2,160 years, corresponding to the 12 divisions of the zodiac.
The imprint of Aquarius is all around to see – electricity, computers, the internet, flight, space exploration, individual freedom, humanitarianism, idealism, rebellion, nonconformity, and even the renewed interest in astrology.
As an ‘Air’ zodiac sign, Aquarius pertains to the mental realms. As the element of the incoming age, Air makes communication and inventiveness two of its most outstanding characteristics. This factor also stimulates the mental sphere of humanity towards brotherhood and the integration of knowledge.
However, as I noted in my article ‘The Dark Side of Aquarius: Upheaval, Revolution & Mind Control in the Transition Between Ages’ in New Dawn 161: “Aquarius’s energies are feeding the dark side of human beings at the same time they are stimulating a higher calling…” And: “The dying energies (and systems of thought) of the previous age intensify and poison the winds of change blowing in from the new age.”
We’re living in a period when the old energies mix with the first rays of the new – but the old (outwardly and inwardly) very much runs the show.
The energies of Aquarius – seeping into the minds of a humanity born in the twilight of the Piscean Age – are liable to have negative impacts to that predicted by the believers in positive change: a manifestation of the worse tendencies of Aquarian nature – its dark side.
“[Y]ou will feel as if you are happy, as if you are a citizen living in the harmonious New Age,” writes John Hogue. “You will be seduced into believing it. In fact, in the darker realm of the future, the more people will be programmed not to think for themselves at all.”
These negative aspects of Aquarius resonate in today’s world.
Covid-Control

The traditional planetary ruler of Aquarius, Saturn, was seen as the ‘great malefic’ because it represents restrictions, difficulties, scarcity and was connected to the Lord of Time – Chronos – of Greek mythology.
The global response to Covid has a saturnine Aquarian feel about it. Worshipping at the altar of science, health surveillance & control systems, lockdowns, quarantines, social distancing, the constant appeals and declarations of humanitarianism.
The ‘new normal’ quickly became an embrace of ‘Big Brother’ as governments of all political orientations around the world assumed unprecedented control over their citizens’ daily lives in response to Covid. Governments in so-called democracies like Australia assumed emergency powers.
Cynical observers are increasingly thinking the response to Covid hides another agenda.
If politicians consulted learned astrologers, they would have been forewarned to prepare for a difficult period. J.P. Morgan, America’s first billionaire banker, apparently held that millionaires don’t need astrologers, but billionaires do.
Great Resets

Most readers of New Dawn have heard about the ‘Great Reset’ of World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab – a tectonic society-wide shift that imposes changes on how we live, work and interact with each other.
The Great Reset entails a transformation of society resulting in permanent restrictions on fundamental liberties and mass surveillance as entire sectors are sacrificed to boost the monopoly and hegemony of pharmaceuticals corporations, high-tech/big data giants, Amazon, Google, major global chains, the digital payments sector, etc.
Under cover of Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions, a ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’ is being rolled out in which older enterprises are to be driven to bankruptcy or absorbed into monopolies, effectively shutting down vast sections of the pre-Covid economy.
Astrologer Guazzelli was astonished to learn that the Great Reset launched in January 2021, “so close to the Great Mutation at the end of December 2020. I doubt this is a mere coincidence or ‘synchronicity’.”
“Possibly aware of this great transition,” she told Escobar, “the [WEF] Davos crew seem to be actually trying to reset the system they already rule with their own settings and revive the dying system as a cyborg from hell.”
Only the arrogantly foolish believe Schwab and the old global elite wouldn’t take a look at what humanity’s oldest science has to say about NOW – especially with so much hanging on a Great Reset to keep a hold on power.
Perhaps they know, writes Jessica Davidson, that “Pluto in Aquarius means the power shifts to the people and society at large, rather than a small group that dominates from the top down. But they won’t give up their power easily.”
“That means things won’t change unless we change.”
Eastern Winds
Now winds blow from the East and from Eurasia, inspiring new forms of co-existence. But the controllers of capital, wealth and worldly power won’t give it up without a fight – or a few wars and a heavy load of social control via technology, capturing bodies and minds. Two hundred years ago, Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte famously remarked that “China is a sleeping giant. Let her sleep for when she wakes up, she will move the world.”
China is well and truly on the move, along with a resurgent and confident Russia.
“With the end of the Piscean era, history and civilisation are reorienting,” Mehmet Sabeheddin observed back in 2003. “We are seeing a return to origins with the emergence of a new power centre at the cross-roads of the East and West, in Eurasia.”
Pepe Escobar has written extensively on the multipolar world and belated failing Anglo-American plans to forge a full spectrum anti-China front.
Trying to ‘teach’ others how to live is also a failed strategy. To avoid bitter conflict, now is a better time to accept coexistence with the diverse cultures on Earth which express different spiritual, ethical, political and economic frameworks. Who knows what gems of wisdom and human possibility may bloom in Aquarius’ seedbed?
Faulty Thinking
Although we’re in the eye of an astrological storm – on a tipping point of chaos and uncertainty – the time is also pregnant for positive change and sudden breakthroughs. But we need to avoid misconceptions and false judgments – especially regarding how Westerners have projected fears and their values onto other societies.
Harnessing Aquarian impulses from the perspective of Piscean thinking will get you nowhere. Despite being high-minded and for universal brotherhood – hallmarks of the coming age when it flowers – Aquarius isn’t as objective as it thinks it is, and can get caught up in groupthink and fanaticism. The shadow side of Aquarius is its propensity to want to reform everybody and a skewed view of equality, limited to the realm of ideas and debate but lacking in terms of the heart and emotion.
This is all playing today in the era of Covid control and the emerging biopower. As noted by Guazzelli, “the nefarious potential of the Aquarian emphasis is the control of society through technology, be it techno-feudalism or, gods forbid, techno-slavery. On the brighter side of the Force, Aquarius is about a social project to sustain life and meet the needs of the people. Both dimensions or systems might co-exist on Earth for a while.”
Astrologer John Hogue suggests the authorities of the coming age might “fashion psycho-weapons out of the Aquarian element of atmosphere and mood… and you may not even feel the repression.”
“The police state of tomorrow will be clean and corporate, and you will be happy. You can’t help it because your genes were altered at birth. And whatever bad moods or antisocial behaviour that cannot be altered by gene splicing can be dulled by drugs or distracted by an entertainment fix. Tomorrow’s negative Utopia will be more like Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World,” predicted Hogue in his 1994 book The Millennium Book of Prophecy.
Ultimately, faulty thinking will likely land us in a dead-end passage of no return.
This is best encapsulated by the technocentric and anthropocentric Transhumanist movement which views the Earth merely as the backdrop for human ‘enhancement’. Unmoved one inch from its foundation stones of materialism and the progress myth, the human being is regarded as a biological computer to be enhanced and its life extended in perpetuity in the cloud – a techno-version of Heaven. Cleverness and artificial intelligence replace wisdom, spiritual insight and genuine self-actualisation. “The goal of humanity is conceived as being to become more and more clever, as if this were the equivalent of becoming spiritually fulfilled,” says philosopher Jeremy Naydler.
Just as Transhumanist ideology envisages the human future as inseparable from the machine, so too it envisages nature’s destiny as to serve as a kind of substratum of a vast artificial Global Brain. What the Internet of Things, and the creation of a so-called ‘intelligent planet’, means is the total saturation of the Earth with non-biological ‘intelligence’. Through emerging nanotechnologies and enhanced microelectronics, ‘intelligent’ control of the natural environment and many of the organisms within it will be greatly strengthened. And so the Global Brain awakens…. Thus the destiny of the universe is conceived as being ultimately to become an enormous supercomputer. It is a dream of insane proportions…

When individuals have close brushes with death, they often have profound experiences and undergo significant changes in outlook and personality. Similarly, a near-death experience (NDE) for a whole society could instigate a process of reflection and healing.
Devastating changes can be understood as necessary purgations affecting the transformation of humanity into a new mode of being, says NDE expert and psychologist Kenneth Ring:
By analogy, just as the individual near-death experiencer may have to endure the pain and suffering associated with the trauma of almost dying before positive personal transformation can take place, so the world may need to undergo a “planetary near-death experience” before it can awaken to higher, more spiritual, collective consciousness with universal love at its core.

The hallmarks of the Age of Aquarius, we are told, are universal brotherhood, peace, unity, higher consciousness, and harmony. In the far distant future – beyond the lifetimes of current humanity – a magnificent flowering of Aquarian civilisation will bloom. It won’t be anything like we can imagine from our place in the grand scheme of the unfoldment of the Ages.
What can we do to facilitate the highest expression of the coming era? Pluto’s entry into Aquarius in 2024 will coincide with society re-organisation and the application of new technologies – tinged by dystopian Piscean energies.
Self-knowledge is the key to surviving this transition period.
“It’s time for us to figure out what it means to be human and how to live together on this planet without fighting over everything,” urges Jessica Davidson. “Aquarius is future-oriented and wants to make society, and the future, a better place. But before you can do that, you have to understand who you are and why you’re here.”
Writer and astrologer Ray Grasse, in his book Signs of the Times, says that “enhancing the higher potentials of the Aquarian Age will involve, among other things, developing one’s own higher mind and critical faculties, allowing one to remain free from the hypnotising qualities of society’s mental ‘grid’ – the sociocultural matrix of our collective beliefs.”

The Soul is the means that vivifies human life. It descends from the invisible Spiritual Reality to push the individual to act according to the plans of Life. Beyond the cliches, superficial renditions and preaching on how to embark on the spiritual journey, there is a simple truth. It can only be approached and reached from a position of equanimity, fortitude, and an internal orientation for Self-Knowledge.

Humans in this current era are immersed and glamoured by the intellect, thinking there is no other way to be. Aquarius is about mental energy and stimulation which manifests today in an overbearing obsession with the thinking function to the exclusion of all else.
In the game of life, we like to think our mind directs the play – and in most cases it does – but in the maze of Maya (unreality), we easily deceive ourselves and often deepen the illusion. Thinking and naming divides the One Being. The function of logic used by a thinker is a subtle trap. That which is named becomes a spell enslaving the namer.
Eventually, people in the Age of Aquarius will have mastered the higher range of intellectual functions to integrate and use the full range of ‘information’ from different levels of Being.
We approach the Way of the Heart, as it is called in various spiritual traditions, by posing a question with ‘heart’. Contemplating the question is not an intellectual activity but a process of engaging and submitting one’s whole being freely in relationship to the object of inquiry.
The ‘spiritual heart’ rests beyond mere emotion and sentimentality – it is an ‘organ’ for spiritual perception. It has been said that the human, fully alive, is one who is able to rest in the heart, integrating the finite with the Infinite.
Awakening individuals, acting from this place of centredness, can ‘make a difference’ and play a positive role in this world of transition and suffering. They can point to the light and the new world to come, inspiring younger generations to act from pure intention.
“If we create the body of civilisation,” the late philosopher Manly Palmer Hall once remarked, “then the soul body of civilisation – which is the ‘New Atlantis’ – will move in and vitalise it. And instead of being a mechanistic culture defended only by mortal laws, it will be the manifestation of a loving being receiving light from the Eternal source of light.”
The Great Ages come and go, but you never need to be dragged under by external circumstances or restricted by worldly affairs. As the famed yogi Paramahansa Yogananda once remarked:
“You do not have to wait for the end of the world in order to be free. There is another way: rise above the age in which you are born.”

An agenda doesn’t have to be written on some secret government document to prove it exists.1 Ideology and established assumption, loosely based on facts, is enough to motivate many people to act from a place of good faith or to implement a dark agenda.
“Most of the evil in this world is done by people with good intentions,” quipped the writer T.S. Eliot. Albert Camus, in his 1947 novel The Plague which resurfaced during COVID-19, said something similar: “The evil that is in the world comes out of ignorance, and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence, if they lack understanding.”
Ask people what they think is the biggest problem facing the world and many will say overpopulation. That’s what we’ve been told for a whole generation and longer. And indeed, the world’s population is set to grow in coming decades but then sharply declines on current trajectories.
The idea of a population problem got its big push with the 1968 publication of The Population Bomb, written by Stanford University Professor Paul R. Ehrlich. It warned of the mass starvation of humans in the 1970s and 1980s due to overpopulation, as well as other major societal upheavals. The book received blanket media coverage and advocated immediate action to limit population growth.
Later, The Population Bomb was discredited because its predictions were wrong. The real problem was how this book changed perceptions about people in the so-called developing world. Although it wasn’t voiced in such terms, the feeling was that something had to be done about all these coloured people breeding up in the Third World. The book essentially offered a veneer of academic credibility to a depopulation agenda that had real consequences.
In the book, Ehrlich argued: “We are going to have to adopt some very tough foreign policy positions… We must use our political power to push other countries into programs which combine agricultural development and population control.”
These worries about unhindered population growth led to the US government taking certain actions on the basis of its notorious 1974 National Security Study Memorandum or NSSM-200. Covert plans were drawn up to reduce population growth in poor countries through birth control and other measures. It is also alleged that war, famine and disease (AIDS) were part of this agenda.
Psychological manipulation is critical because people convince themselves they are saving the world or the earth – ‘good intentions’ – but in fact they are acting within an elite-driven compartmentalised bureaucratic machine on a mission. The general population would turn a blind eye to some tragedies in Third World countries because we all ‘know’ that population growth is out of control (also driven by open and covert racism).
Concerns about overpopulation have continued into the present day, and now we have the phenomenon of the super-rich virtue signalling their concern for the future of humanity and planet earth.
Income inequality across the world is getting worse and recent annual reports issued by Oxfam reveal increasing concentrations of wealth in the hands of a tiny group of billionaires. They hold more wealth than many countries and can make things happen with their extreme wealth, influencing government policy (one example is George Soros who has donated $32 billion to various causes in recent years).
Billionaires often conspire in business forums to figure out ways to increase profit, but they seldom get together for ostensibly ‘good’ causes. In 2009 an elite of billionaire philanthropists met in New York City. Normally such meetings are top secret, but this was different – the cause of their coming together was seen as ‘positive’: how to deal with overpopulation.
Dubbed ‘The Good Club’, its members included billionaires Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, David Rockefeller (1915–2017), Eli Broad, George Soros, Ted Turner, Oprah Winfrey, and Michael Bloomberg. According to an article in The Sunday Times of London, headlined “Billionaire Club in Bid to Curb World Population,” the elite gathering took “their cue from [Bill] Gates,” and “they all agreed that overpopulation” was the “umbrella cause” that should subsume all other concerns.
The central theme and purpose of The Good Club meeting was the priority concern posed by Bill Gates, namely, how to advance more effectively birth control and global population reduction. In the talks, a consensus reportedly emerged that they would “back a strategy in which population growth would be tackled as a potentially disastrous environmental, social and industrial threat.”2
So here we have a group of people who are not experts in fields of the humanities, biology or genetics (but very good at business) making important decisions affecting billions of people’s lives. You don’t get to the top of the capitalist business tree by being a nice person. Ruthlessness comes with the territory – some might add psychopathy into that mix.
Like the rest of us, none of these rich people are immune from believing the general consensus on overpopulation, and the Malthusian proposition that catastrophe occurs when population growth outpaces agricultural production. And you will not find any honest appraisal of their true beliefs because the billionaire class control most mainstream media. So it is interesting to read the thoughts of a former advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, and member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Sergey Glazyev, who recently said that among the Western ruling elites, “primitive Malthusian ideas still prevail, one constantly hears there are too many humans, that the planet, they say, cannot survive so many people, and so on.”
The Rockefeller Century
The negative impact of population growth on all of our planetary ecosystems is becoming appallingly evident. – David Rockefeller (1915–2017)
Before moving back to the present, we make a brief detour to the past which might inform us of the direction we are heading in the future.
When, in 2017, David Rockefeller, the de facto Patriarch of the American establishment, died at age 101, he was showered with praise for his philanthropy and life’s work.
At the time, a leading analyst of international geopolitics and economics, F. William Engdahl, offered his “more honest picture” of Rockefeller – a hidden history – reproduced at length here:
In 1939, along with his four brothers – Nelson, John D. III, Laurance and Winthrop – David Rockefeller and their Rockefeller Foundation financed the top-secret War & Peace Studies at the New York Council on Foreign Relations, the most influential private US foreign policy think-tank which also was controlled by the Rockefellers. A collection of American academics gathered even before the outbreak of World War II to plan a postwar world empire, what Time-Life insider Henry Luce later called The American Century. They made a blueprint for taking over a global empire from the bankrupt British, but carefully decided to call it not an empire. Rather they called it “spreading democracy, freedom, the American way of free enterprise.”
Their project looked at the geopolitical map of the world and planned how the USA would replace the British Empire as de facto the dominant empire. The creation of the United Nations was a key part. The Rockefeller brothers donated the land in Manhattan for the UN Headquarters (and in the process made billions in the increased prices of the adjoining real estate that they also owned). This is the Rockefeller “philanthropy” method. Every grant donated is calculated to increase family wealth and power.
After the war, David Rockefeller dominated US foreign policy and the countless wars in Africa, Latin America, Asia. The Rockefeller faction created the Cold War against the Soviet Union, and NATO in order to keep a reviving Western Europe under American vassal status….
If philanthropy should be motivated by love of our fellow man, the grants of the Rockefeller Foundation are not. Take medical research. During the period until 1939 and the War, the Rockefeller Foundation financed biological research at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Berlin. It was Nazi eugenics – how to breed a superior race and how to kill off or sterilise those they deemed “inferior.” Rockefeller financed Nazi eugenics. Rockefeller’s Standard Oil also violated US law to secretly supply the Nazi Air Force with scarce fuel during the War. After the war, the Rockefeller brothers arranged for leading Nazi scientists involved in ghastly human experiments to be brought to the USA and Canada under sanitised identities to continue their eugenics research. Many worked in the CIA top-secret MK-Ultra project.
In the 1950s the Rockefeller brothers founded the Population Council to advance eugenics, disguised as population research into birth control. The Rockefeller brothers were responsible in the 1970s for a US Government Top Secret project directed by Rockefeller National Security Adviser Kissinger, NSSM-200 titled, “Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for US Security and Overseas Interests.” It argued high population growth in developing nations with strategic raw materials like oil or minerals were a US “national security threat” as more population demands national economic growth, using those resources internally. NSSM-200 made developing world population reduction programs a precondition of US aid. In the 1970s the Rockefeller Foundation also financed together with WHO development of a special tetanus vaccine that limited population by making a woman incapable of maintaining a pregnancy, literally going after the human reproductive process itself.
If we speak of an unseen, powerful network some call the Deep State, we might say David Rockefeller saw himself as Patriarch of that Deep State. His true acts deserve to be honestly seen for what they were – misanthropic and not philanthropic.
In the course of his research, F. William Engdahl also came across documented evidence that the “Rockefeller Foundation had financed much of the work of Margaret Sanger and her eugenics Planned Parenthood organisation during the 1930s when her ‘Negro Project’ in black Harlem was trying to develop ways to eliminate the black population… The same Rockefeller family in the 1950’s created and financed the enormously influential eugenics work of the John D. Rockefeller III Population Council.”
Engdahl continues: “In June 1952 John D. Rockefeller III convened a secret conference at Williamsburg, Virginia where some thirty of the nation’s most eminent conservationists, public health experts, Planned Parenthood leaders, agriculturalists, demographers and social scientists met. They formed a new group which could act as ‘a coordinating and catalytic agent in the broad field of population.’ John D. Rockefeller III publicly christened The Population Council and announced that he himself would serve as its first president. They organised their vast financial and media resources to spread the myth of over-population that today is blindly accepted by most as scientific truth. They spread the myth that ‘people pollute,’ or as the Rockefeller Foundation’s Alan Gregg preferred to describe growing human populations in the developing world, ‘cancerous growths that demand food.’ Population reduction became the strategic priority, step-wise, of the US Government and then the US-controlled World Bank.
“The mainstream media that has been controlled by Rockefellers and their eugenics-loving very rich and very loveless friends for decades, pumped us full of the myth that the world was a human ‘population bomb’ as the title of a lying book by Paul Ehrlich, The Population Bomb.”3
COVID & Bill Gates
Microsoft founder Bill Gates has made headlines throughout 2020 due to his funding of projects connected to the COVID-19 pandemic, and also because the whole area of population, vaccines and health interests him.
Speaking to Bill Moyers in 2003, Gates revealed that “one issue that really grabbed me as urgent were issues related to population… reproductive health.”
MOYERS: “But did you come to reproductive issues as an intellectual?” GATES: “When I was growing up, my parents were always involved in various volunteer things. My dad was head of Planned Parenthood. And it was very controversial to be involved with that.”
The reason he said “controversial” was that “population control” and “reproductive health” had been used for half a century as a euphemism for eugenics, the discredited pseudoscience that holds that certain families are fit to be leaders of society by virtue of their superior genes.
Bill Gates, with an estimated net worth today of $112 billion, was born into money. His father William H. Gates, Sr. was a prominent Seattle-area lawyer who co-founded a powerful law and lobbying firm. Speaking on his father’s 90th birthday, Bill admitted “my dad was a large presence, both physically and in terms of his wisdom.” In his 2009 book, Showing Up for Life, William H. Gates, Sr. writes admiringly of the Rockefellers and their influence in the health field: “Every corner we’ve turned in the field of global health, we’ve found that the Rockefellers were already there and had been there for years.”
Dad’s ideas are sure to have rubbed off on his son who, with his wife Melinda, set up the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the world’s largest private charitable foundation. What the Rockefellers achieved was surely an inspiration.
After COVID-19 hit, the Gates Foundation made it known it was throwing vast sums of money into a vaccine. Gates soon became the focus of theories that went viral on the internet. In early May, a video circulated that the coronavirus was actually a laboratory-manipulated virus deployed to wreak havoc so that a resulting vaccine could be used for profit. As part of this “Plandemic,” Gates would control these efforts so that a tracking device could be implanted in all vaccines enabling full control over the entire world’s population through 5G networks.
Most of these ‘conspiracy’ theories were amplified by the fact that in October 2019 Gates, through his foundation, co-organised a pandemic simulation exercise. The ‘Event 201’ exercise simulated the outbreak of a novel coronavirus, modelled largely on SARS, with no known vaccines. It was strangely prescient given that COVID-19 appeared on the scene a few months later.
Bill Gates’ push for vaccinations and his ‘concerns’ about population are much discussed in the Black community. Earlier this year, in a widely televised address, the Black American leader, the Honourable Minister Louis Farrakhan, accused Bill Gates of trying to “depopulate the Earth.” Farrakhan warned his “brothers and sisters in Africa, if they come up with a vaccine, be careful. Don’t let them vaccinate you with their history of treachery through vaccines…”
To avoid the pejorative label ‘conspiracy theorist’ which today is used to silence discussions of sensitive topics, we can simply rely on mainstream media sources on the activities of Bill Gates to help us understand this man’s motivations to help ‘save’ humanity.
In his speech to the 64th World Health Assembly on 17 May 2011, Gates said: “And for all 193 member states, you must make vaccines a high priority in your health systems, to ensure that all your children have access to existing vaccines now – and to new vaccines as they become available.”
In his speech to the Long Beach, California TED2010 Conference, Gates declared: “First we got population. The world today has 6.8 billion people. That’s headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 per cent.” This is often cited to prove Gates’ hidden agenda – tainted vaccines to kill off millions. (His defenders claim this comment is about vaccines reducing child mortality rates, thereby increasing the chance of a child surviving to adulthood and encouraging parents to have smaller families.)
In June 2020, after Trump cut its funding, the Gates Foundation was set to become the World Health Organization’s top donor. “It would enable a single rich philanthropist to set the global health agenda,” exclaimed Lawrence Gostin, director of WHO’s Collaborating Center on National and Global Health Law.
Speaking at the Financial Inclusion Forum, 1 December 2015, Gates said: “And the lack of an ID system is a problem, not just for the payment system, but also for voting and health and education and taxation. And so it’s a wonderful thing to go in and create a broad identification system.”
On transactions: “Once financial flows go underground – where you have lots of legitimate transactions mixed in with the ones you want to track – and once they’re going over a digital system that the US has no connection to, it’s far more difficult to find the transactions that you want to be aware of or that you want to block.” (Bill Gates at the Financial Inclusion Forum)
Speaking about the coronavirus pandemic and his work toward a vaccine, Gates excitedly told CNBC: “We’re gonna have this intermediate period of opening up, and it won’t be normal until we get an amazing vaccine to the entire world.”
Publicly available information suggests that Gates is interested in ‘saving humanity’ by regulating and controlling people’s lives. The same mathematical certainty that Gates found in his computer work can be programmed into the hardware and software of humanity to make us run smoothly – virus-free!
Barbara Oakley of Oakland University refers to a type of behaviour, more prevalent in this age of “strategic philanthropy,” that she terms “pathological altruism.” This is altruism that attempts to promote the welfare of others but instead results in unanticipated harm.4
We can be quite certain Bill goes to sleep each night knowing he’s doing great things for humanity while his bank accounts increase exponentially. From the point of view of us mortals in the firing line of the billionaire masters of the universe, we can’t help but think all these efforts are not about improving the world for humankind but securing the world for their own kind.
Governments and the corporate billionaire class have come up with lots of ways to save humanity by killing large sections of it: wars, economic sanctions, engineered food shortages and disease outbreaks, forced sterilisation, cancers caused by poisoned environments, water and food, and the list goes on.
In answer to the title of this article – yes, a depopulation agenda exists, but it’s tightly sealed away in a bubble of propaganda and obfuscation crafted by highly paid spin doctors who ensure we only hear one message: We do what we do because we love humanity and have your best interests at heart.

A recent issue of New Dawn delved into the secretive world of the Aboriginal shaman or “clever man” as he was known to his people. Briefly mentioned by Bruce Stringer in his article ‘Cleverman’ (in New Dawn 159) was the use of quartz crystals in the life and work of these powerful figures. Quartz crystals played a role in shamanic initiation ceremonies and in healing.
In his book Aboriginal Men of High Degree, Australian anthropologist A.P. Elkin describes meeting Aboriginal people “of high degree” who are the equivalent of what we know in other traditions as “medicine men” or “shamans.” He reports that crystals played a prominent role in the beliefs of these “clevermen.” Elkin says they would carry quartz crystals on their person, and the Wiradjeri shamans spoke of quartz as being solidified “sacred powerful water” which was to be sprinkled on initiates. The process was symbolically described: “The water spread all over the postulant and was completely absorbed. Then feathers emerged from the latter’s arms, which grew into wings in the course of two days.”
Ronald Rose in his 1957 book Living Magic relates the dramatic initiation of two young Aboriginal boys. At a moment of great emotion, a vision of an old man showed them “a large, bright crystal that stole light from the dawn and dazzled their eyes.” Soon the boys felt strange things moving on their bodies, “things that felt like snakes and spiders… He thought he felt the sharp stab of fangs in his leg and it went numb.” One of the boys trembled, perspired and tensed up; he failed the test and was led away. The other one sank into “a state of repose that was almost sleep.” In this trance-like state, the boy saw strange and wonderful things. The clevermen conducting the initiation seemed to walk into eucalyptus trees; they melted into the trees and a moment later appeared on the other side. Then the clevermen “…produced from within themselves great numbers of gleaming quartz crystals… Each old doctor (cleverman) formed a small pile of crystals beside him. These, too, were part of his power, symbols of the sacred water that each had acquired during his making as a clever-man. With these the doctor could perform miracles: the crystals warned him of the approach of enemies, he was assisted by them in making his cures, he could project one or more into an enemy and thus kill him.”
The same Aboriginal tribe, the Wiradjeri, believed that a supernatural being known as Baiame sung “a piece of quartz crystal into their forehead so that they will have X-ray vision.” Along with this power also come an ability to “fly.”
Aboriginal clevermen, as well as shamans and seers in different parts of the world, valued quartz and other crystals as power objects to spiritually connect them with the other ’worlds’.
Through the eyes of modern science, we now understand a lot more about crystals and how they could be useful in the context of a different approach to reality such as that lived by our ancient ancestors. The work of researchers such as Nicholas Pearson, author of The Seven Archetypal Stones, helps explain how a subtle energy field is generated by a crystal’s lattice. Each different type of crystal produces its own orderly energy field, which is broadcast into the immediate environment. What we don’t know is the exact nature of the crystal connection to other dimensions and ’worlds’ nor how to truly harness the full power as revealed in the stories recorded and written down from the time when human communities lived inside different reality frameworks.

Do covert space programs utilising extra-terrestrial technology exist? Are we being subjected to a massive psychological operation?
The following examines alleged cover-ups on a huge scale, two vastly different interpretations of unusual aerial phenomena – UFOs – connected to ‘secret space programs’. The so-called facts of these cover-ups are hard to fathom but if true constitute a conspiracy of mammoth proportions.
The first involves the earth-based elite and its military, intelligentsia, security and space operations apparatus. The second, the claims and disclosures of various individuals and ‘whistleblowers’ on ‘beyond top secret’ cooperation with extra-terrestrials.
When the Pentagon’s X-37B space plane first was announced to the world – a deliberately engineered event – the public was fascinated by its appearance.
‘The Pentagon’s mysterious X-37B space plane sets new orbit record’ by Nick Whigham reads an article appearing on News.com.au in March 2017. “For the past 678 record-breaking days, a large robotic plane owned by the US Air Force has been floating around space in low-earth orbit.”

“Despite the unique accomplishment, the space plane remains shrouded in secrecy and the goals and purpose of the mission are a mystery to the public – fuelling intense speculation and conspiracy theories, including concern that it is helping to usher in the weaponisation of space.”
The weaponisation of space has been a major issue for governments as far back as the 1950s. In 1957, US Air Force chief of staff Thomas White stated: “Whoever has the capability to control space will likewise possess the capability to exert control of the surface of Earth.”
In the past few decades the space race has heated up with programs and special projects developed by Russia, India, Japan, South Korea and China (Asia’s largest). Also participating are private contractors. Much of the work is top secret.
Of course, the largest player in this game of dominance is the United States government. It funds the multibillion-dollar development of experimental black aircraft at ‘Area 51’ (known as ‘Dreamland’ by the pilots who test aircraft in the restricted airspace over the base). The U-2 spy plane and the F-117 stealth fighter were developed at Area 51 under the tangled aegis of a host of secretive government departments, including the Central Intelligence Agency and the Strategic Air Command, and private contractors.

According to various whistleblowers and researchers, Area 51 is infamous for being the storage and examination point of crashed alien spacecraft (including material recovered at Roswell). It is here, they say, that military scientists have studied aliens and alien technology. Some even claim Area 51 is where meetings or joint undertakings with extra-terrestrials have taken place. More on this later.
America’s Secret Network of Space Planes & Satellites
Examples of drones and stealth aircraft developed under the protection of classified programs.
The US Air Force’s X-37B space plane is only one of possibly dozens of secret military satellites and craft orbiting in space. Many are designed to spy on Earth. Almost certainly others are being tested for warfare purposes.
According to astrophysicist and astronomer Jonathan McDowell, “The secret space programs, or I should say more generally the military space programs, are as big as NASA,” adding that there are about 20 to 25 “full-fledged spy satellites or other really secret vehicles” travelling above the Earth.1
The American artist, geographer and author Trevor Paglen managed to document some of the hidden reality behind the Pentagon’s classified ‘black’ budget programs. His 2010 book examined the ‘patches’ or emblems in the field of clandestine military activity. Speaking to the New York Times in 2008, Paglen remarked: “This stuff is a huge industry, I mean a huge industry. And it’s remarkable that you can develop these projects on an industrial scale, and we don’t know what they are. It’s an astounding feat of social engineering.”2

It is here, in these space programs, where we detect the signs of a massive cover-up that by definition extends way beyond the bounds of the perimeter fence at Area 51.
Alongside the government-funded space research programs are the private contractors, many entangled with the military-industrial complex. The profit-driven competition between the various players drives the secrecy and deception.
Many would be surprised to learn that Amazon.com billionaire Jeff Bezos is getting into space, his company Blue Origin operating in extreme secrecy. Late last year [2017] Blue Origin sent its suborbital New Shepard rocket into space, its first test flight. He’s competing with Richard Branson’s spaceflight company Virgin Galactic in what they both predict will be the new frontier for tourism – space.
Other private US-based space companies are the well-known SpaceX owned by Elon Musk, as well as Boeing, Sierra Nevada Corporation and Orbital ATK. These companies are developing engine and rocket systems, capsules and spacecraft. Big profits are at stake. Where the secrecy breaks down is you can’t hide everything that flies in the sky or floats in space.
Look! Up in the Sky! It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! It’s a UFO!
It’s no secret that governments around the world have operated programs to study unidentified aerial phenomenon. Starting in 1952, Project Blue Book was one of a series of studies of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) conducted by the United States Air Force. These programs were officially ‘terminated’, but many observers posit that for obvious reasons the study of strange objects in the sky continued in a covert capacity, outsourced to unofficial non-government organisations, front groups for the Pentagon.
Howard Blum, in his book Out There: The Government’s Secret Quest for Extra-terrestrials, revealed from Freedom of Information Act requests that the US Air Force continued to catalogue and track UFO sightings, particularly a series of UFO encounters from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s that occurred at US military facilities with nuclear weapons. Blum writes that some of these official documents depart drastically from the normally dry and bureaucratic wording of government paperwork, making obvious the sense of “terror” that these UFO incidents sparked in many USAF personnel.
One of the major stories in the field of Ufology happened in 2017 – official admission there had been, in fact, a recent US government program that studied UFOs.
The Pentagon project, called the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program, was reportedly established in 2007 to investigate unexplained aerial phenomena that appeared to be using novel propulsive, hovering or otherwise advanced technologies.
The unveiling of the Pentagon project was uncritically embraced and circulated by some UFO enthusiasts, which was perhaps the intention of those behind the report’s release.
We heard from the former head of the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program, Luis Elizondo. “My personal belief is that there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone,” Elizondo told CNN.3
The program supposedly ran from 2008 to 2012. Elizondo, highlighting one particular episode caught on video that was publicly released, said that the aerial stunts of the UFOs – such as hovering without any sign of propulsion – were beyond the reach of human technology.
He didn’t seem to be in any doubt the program had found evidence pointing to extra-terrestrials: “These aircraft – we’ll call them aircraft – are displaying characteristics that are not currently within the US inventory nor in any foreign inventory that we are aware of.”4
Is Elizondo’s admission indicative of indirect government disclosure of the existence of ETs? Or is it part of a sophisticated disinformation program designed to misdirect our attention from the experiments of the secret space program? It apparently has happened before. According to British journalist and filmmaker Mark Pilkington in Mirage Men: An Adventure into Paranoia, Espionage, Psychological Warfare, and UFOs, a shadowy organisation he dubbed “mirage men” were behind a global double bluff.
His book lays out the controversial case that the fascination and study of UFOs was instigated or encouraged by the US government trying to conceal Cold War military projects.
Pilkington says the Roswell case, when the US military recovered a “flying disc” from a ranch near the New Mexico town back in 1947, is one of the “most famous examples” of the work of the mirage men. He told online journal Sputnik: “In the early 1950s the US military was testing a lot of new technologies and it was convenient to disguise them as UFOs. It was a double bluff.”5
He declares the “UFO mythology served as a convenient cover” for classified tests. In this vein, the new admissions by Elizondo serve to restore the mystery around UFOs as alien spacecraft – not the manoeuvring of advanced technologies developed by humans.
In brief, that sums up part one of our examination of the cover-up surrounding the secret space programs. Military agencies around the world and private contractors prefer us to see UFOs instead of their experimental craft.
That, in itself, is one massive cover-up involving thousands of operatives and ‘whistleblowers’ spreading carefully planned disinformation which eventually took on a life of its own in the mythology of UFOs and alien abductions etc. The existence of this huge disinformation conspiracy is, of course, hotly disputed by those in the UFO community who have their own takes on the phenomenon – and they’re certainly not at all in agreement.

The phrase “flying saucer” gained widespread attention from the year 1947. On 24 June, civilian pilot Kenneth Arnold reported seeing nine objects flying in formation near Mount Rainier in the US state of Washington. Arnold timed the sighting and estimated the speed of the discs to be over 1,900 km/h. He described the objects flying in a saucer-like fashion, leading to newspaper accounts of “flying saucers” and “flying discs.”
Coincidentally, the unidentified flying object that crashed on a ranch northwest of Roswell, New Mexico, happened during the first week of July 1947.
This was the magic moment in time that sparked the UFO craze.
We know there was extensive interest in strange aerial phenomena and ‘aliens’ before that critical year, but it exploded in the following decades. Sighting of UFOs and reports of encounters with space beings exponentially increased, and not just in the United States. UFO organisations proliferated and documented thousands of cases. Could it all be the imagining of the gullible? All part of a massive disinformation campaign? If so, then it would be the most successful manipulation of the worldwide public imagination of all time.
The answer may be closer to a simple fact about the human mind. Once a possibility is opened in the ‘group mind’ or the collective consciousness, it tends to often manifest across the whole population. Kenneth Arnold’s flying saucers sparked a belief in the possibility something otherworldly was haunting our skies. Once we started considering that possibility we began to see the saucers and other strange things. Maybe they’ve been coming and going all along, perhaps in different guises – we just didn’t ‘see’ them.
Now that we ‘see’ them, we have to determine what they are, and more importantly, what they want. This takes us into the second aspect of the biggest cover-up of all time – how the secret space programs are connected to extra-terrestrials.
Since that fateful year of 1947, and the subsequent surge of UFO sightings and apparent alien abductions, the collective mind became inextricably focused on the idea of ETs and their possible interaction with humankind.
Over the years, dozens of apparent insiders have come out of the woodwork with stories of free energy, reverse engineered UFOs, secret human-alien hybrid colonies, antigravity, and government collaboration with various species of alien. In short, these incredible stories about the secret space program represent the second interpretation of the “biggest cover-up of all time.” As in part one, it’s a conspiracy requiring the complicity of thousands of individuals and various programs designed to misdirect our attention away from a very different ‘truth’.
Of the many figures in the UFO scene, Steven Greer has become one of the loudest and consistent voices demanding full disclosure of extra-terrestrial contact. Decades of petitioning prominent Washington lawmakers and power brokers, appearing before the US National Press Club, and producing UFO documentaries such as the recent ‘Unacknowledged’, pushed Greer firmly into the limelight as one of the main players exposing the alleged extra-terrestrial cover-up.
Greer shares a platform on this subject with others including William Tompkins (1923–2017), Bob Dean, Richard Doty, Karl Wolfe, Edgar Mitchell (1930–2016, of Apollo 14 fame) and Corey Goode. The stories told by these men – some are former insiders – don’t always line up but they all appear to fervently believe what they say.
Greer claims to have met with dozens of supposed secret space program insiders and acquired thousands of documents to back up his thesis. Greer asserts the cover-up started in the 1950s when the US government reverse engineered recovered crashed extra-terrestrial craft. The first breakthrough, says Greer, was mastering “anti-gravity.” From that point on, in the 1950s, the work went “black and the reason it went black in that era is the financial cartels did not want people to understand that we have not needed oil or gas or jet engines or these things for decades.”6 The military-industrial complex has selfishly kept hidden these technological breakthroughs because it threatens the entire house of cards “built on fossil fuels and the petrodollar system.”
Greer repeatedly urged high-ranking members of the US government to disclose what they knew about extra-terrestrials until he concluded that the pertinent information was being hidden even from the president of the United States.
As for actual aliens, Greer claims the US government “have several dozen extra-terrestrial vehicles and dozens of deceased [ET] life-forms of various races. Some are stored in an underground facility near Fort Huachuca in Arizona.”7
From this point on we enter ‘Twilight Zone’ or ‘Star Trek’ territory in the literal sense due to the strange and outlandish scenarios described by some whistleblowers and disclosure activists. The following is a brief overview of these incredible claims which, if true, would indeed constitute the “biggest cover-up of all time.”
Again, in this particular arena, there are many players, some well-known and respected for their consistency and rigour, while others seem to have built their claims from the mesh of established theories and narratives.
All agree that world governments including those of the US, Russia, China, Japan and the EU have separate secret space program alliances with various alien species. The US, Russia and China are said to have entered into independent technology-transfer treaties with rival alien species who have enmeshed Earth into a sort of ‘Star Wars’ conflict that we are told has been ongoing between extra-terrestrial civilisations for thousands, possibly millions of years.
Michael Salla
Michael Salla is an Australian academic turned UFO researcher who maintains the popular Exopolitics.org website. He is the author of the recent book The U.S. Navy’s Secret Space Program and Nordic Extra-terrestrial Alliance.
Salla describes the existence of a Military Industrial Extra-terrestrial Complex (MIEC) and claims the world’s secret space programs are currently in touch with 17 extra-terrestrial civilisations. The growing geopolitical conflict between the US allied with the EU and the Eurasian alliance led by Russia and China is, in reality, due to these governments being subsumed into the ongoing warfare between extra-terrestrial civilisations.
Salla says the creation of the ‘Star Trek’ sci-fi TV series by Gene Roddenberry was actually based on classified information leaked about the clandestine US Navy Space Fleet. This fleet, allegedly a space program run in alliance with technologically advanced alien races including the ‘Greys’, the ‘Reptilians’ and the ‘Tall Whites’, formed the basis of ‘Star Trek’.
Some alien species apparently sought out alliances with humans because they needed certain mineral and natural resources which the Earth has in abundance. For example, the Tall White aliens are said to maintain a secret trade delegation at the Nellis Air Force Base outside Las Vegas. They are desperately in need of aluminium and titanium to feed their advanced aerospace industries.
Most sinister of all, some ET species have done a deal with Earth governments to collect human DNA resources. This explains alien abductions. There’s also claims of an alien plot to take over the planet and rule it through a new alien-human hybrid elite.
Space does not permit me to mention in detail revelations such as how Nazi Germany established secret bases in Antarctica with the assistance of various extra-terrestrials (the first UFOs were made by Nazi scientists and the technology transferred to the USA after World War II) and the breakaway civilisations on the dark side of the Moon and Mars, operated by techno-elites, essentially the people who really rule the planet.
Further stories and narratives have been revealed (or invented) but they all extend from the premise of secret space programs.

Deciphering the facts from the disinformation to discern if either side of the “biggest cover-up of all time” is true – even partially – seems an insurmountable challenge. Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in the middle – between attempts at misdirecting the general public away from clandestine aerospace experiments – and the phenomenon itself which won’t go away because too many of us keep experiencing its high strangeness.

“There are countless examples of military exercises and various experimental technologies being mistaken for things like extra-terrestrial vehicles and other more esoteric things. However, in recognising this fundamental truth, questions must be raised in relation to whether all reports of UFOs can merely be chalked up to mis-identification of known phenomenon (including military operations, etc), or if there are indeed foreign sources behind some reports of UFO craft…
“At the end of the day, what we’re left to try and discern is whether a majority of incidents involving unusual aerial objects can be explained by clandestine military activities (and often in the absence of reliable data, due to the secrecy surrounding such subjects).
“Thus, it becomes difficult at times for us to gauge what kinds of technology have been developed and tested over the years, versus the kinds of things that seem otherworldly, and are thus perceived as being ‘theirs’ (i.e. the aliens).
“I would nonetheless say that, if I had to guess, there is probably a lot going on behind the scenes right here on Earth, which can explain much of the weird stuff we’ve seen turn up during UFO incidents over the years. The question is, if not by virtue of the all-hallowed ‘disclosure’ idea, then how will we ever get to the bottom of what’s really going on?”8
